The Mail Sorter is responsible for sorting and delivering mail to the appropriate departments and individuals within the company. The Mail Sorter will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the mail room and keeping accurate records of all incoming and outgoing mail.

Mail Sorter Job Responsibilities

  • Receive and sort mail and packages
  • Deliver sorted mail and packages to appropriate destinations
  • Maintain records of outgoing and incoming mail
  • Operate sorting machines as needed


  • To sort mail according to specified criteria.
  • To maintain organization of the sorting area.
  • To keep track of sorted mail and ensure it is delivered to the correct destination.
  • To report any issues with sorting or delivery to a supervisor.
