  • Preparing financial plans and recommending financial products and services to help clients meet future objectives
  • Analyzing a client's financial situation, recommending appropriate investments, and executing the investments
  • Knowing and understanding products, services, and companies, and suggesting appropriate products and services to clients
  • Assisting clients with financial planning during retirement, including durable powers of attorney and estate documents
  • Helping clients by reviewing their policies and available coverage
  • Advocating for clients in resolving disputes with insurers
  • Supporting regular marketing activities and maintaining customer relationships
  • Storing client files


  • Drive business development and prospecting activities through prospect research, cold calling, and client development
  • Advise clients on financial products and services available
  • Create and review presentations and proposals
  • Meet with clients to provide financial advice and products
  • Research, review, and approve invoices and payments
  • Provide administrative support as needed

Financial Advisor Skills Needed

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or finance or related field
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
