Steel Worker Job Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, position, and weld steel components to assemble structural frames using gantry cranes, jib cranes, or other overhead lifting equipment
  • Inspect completed structures and perform repairs as necessary
  • Operate oxyfuel gas cutting torches, plasma torches, or arc welding equipment to cut or join steel members
