The Senior QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality of our products. They will develop and execute test plans, create and maintain test cases, and report and track defects. The Senior QA Engineer will work closely with developers to ensure that new features are properly tested before being released. They will also be responsible for training new QA members and mentoring junior staff.

Senior QA Engineer Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain test plans and test cases based on requirements.
  • Execute test cases, track and report defects.
  • Assist in root cause analysis of defects.
  • Participate in regular project status meetings with development and other stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress and identify risks/issues that need to be addressed.

Senior QA Engineer Job Skills & Qualifications Needed

  • The skills and qualifications needed for the role of Senior QA Engineer are:
  • A minimum of 4 years in a Quality Assurance role
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing test plans, cases and scripts
  • Experience with Selenium or similar automated testing tools
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as both Agile and waterfall methodologies
  • Excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills
