Concrete Finisher Job Description Template

A Concrete Finisher is responsible for creating a smooth, level surface on poured concrete. This may involve using a trowel, float, or other hand tool to spread and level the wet concrete. The Concrete Finisher will also work to create decorative surfaces by adding texture or color to the concrete before it dries.

  • Read blueprints and follow verbal instructions to determine where to set forms for pouring concrete
  • Mix ingredients such as sand, water, and cement in prescribed proportions to produce concrete mix
  • Spread, level, and smooth fresh concrete using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, laser level
  • Operate power vibrators to compact concrete
  • Finish surfaces of poured concrete by hand trowelling, broom or floating to specified finish texture
