The Assembly Operator will be responsible for the assembly of products and components. They will use hand tools and small power tools to put together parts according to specifications. The Assembly Operator will work at a fast pace to meet production goals. They must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.

Assembly Operator Job Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine assembly specifications and sequence of operations.
  • Select and position parts in jigs or fixtures on worktables, using measuring instruments and hand tools.
  • Assemble components by joining parts with bolts, screws, rivets, or other fasteners, using power tools as necessary.
  • Examine assembled units to verify conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Test completed products for proper functioning, using testing equipment such as voltmeters and ammeters.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area throughout the shift to ensure a safe working environment
