The Patient Advocate is responsible for providing support to patients and their families throughout the hospital stay. The Patient Advocate will be available to answer questions, provide resources, and help resolve any issues that arise during the hospital stay. The Patient Advocate will work closely with the patient’s care team to ensure that all of the patient’s needs are being met.

Patient Advocate Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
  • Educate patients about their rights and responsibilities within the healthcare system.
  • Assist patients with navigating the complex healthcare system, including insurance coverage and billing issues.
  • Advocate for patient needs and interests, both within the healthcare system and in the community at large.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to coordinate care and services for patients.
  • Keep abreast of developments in healthcare policy and regulations to ensure that patients’ rights are protected.
