The MDS Nurse is responsible for coordinating and completing the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessment for each resident in accordance with federal and state regulations. The MDS Nurse works closely with the interdisciplinary team to develop a care plan that meets the needs of each resident. The MDS Nurse also provides education to residents and families on the Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement process.

MDS Nurse Job Responsibilities
