The Estate Manager is responsible for the overall management of a property or properties. They develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective running of the estate/properties under their control. The Estate Manager liaises with tenants, landlords, service providers, contractors and other relevant parties to ensure that all aspects of the property are well maintained and operated. They also oversee the budgeting and expenditure for the estate/properties, as well as preparing reports on the performance of the estate/properties.

Estate Manager Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of property management, including but not limited to: maintenance, repair, renovations, and construction
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to the management of the property
  • Prepare and manage the annual operating budget for the property
  • Supervise on-site staff, including but not limited to: security, janitorial, and landscaping personnel
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed to complete projects or repairs
  • Act as a liaison between tenants/residents and ownership/management
  • Ensure that all legal requirements related to the property are met

Estate Manager Job Skills & Qualifications Needed

  • The skills and qualifications needed for the role of Estate Manager vary depending on the size and type of property or properties that are being managed. However, most Estate Managers will need to have experience in property management, as well as a good understanding of building maintenance and repair. In addition, Estate Managers should be able to effectively communicate with tenants, landlords, and other members of the property team in order to resolve any issues that may arise.
