The CT Technologist will provide high quality patient care by performing diagnostic Computed Tomography (CT) scans in accordance with established protocols. The CT Technologist will maintain a high standard of medical ethics at all times and be self-motivated to increase their level of understanding and knowledge of the field as they evolve. Further responsibilities include: maintaining equipment in good working order, keeping accurate records of exams performed, and adhering to radiation safety guidelines.

CT Technologist Job Responsibilities

  • Operates CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images (CT scans) of patients' bodies
  • Reviews and evaluates CT scan results
  • Maintains and calibrates CT equipment
  • Prepares patients for CT procedures, including positioning them on the exam table and administering contrast material when necessary
  • Explains CT procedures to patients and answers their questions

CT Technologist Job Skills & Qualifications Needed
