A certified nursing assistant (CNA) is a member of the healthcare team who provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Duties include but are not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring and ambulating patients. The CNA also takes vital signs, collects data about patients' health status and reports changes to the RN.
CNA Job Responsibilities
- Providing basic patient care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting

- The skills and qualifications needed for the role of CNA include good communication skills, patience, and the ability to work well with others. CNAs must also be able to follow instructions and have a basic understanding of medical terminology.
