The Center Director is responsible for the overall operation and management of the center. This includes ensuring that the center is running smoothly, efficiently and within budget. The Center Director also develops long-term plans for the center and implements strategies to achieve these goals. In addition, the Center Director supervises all staff members and provides leadership and guidance.

Objectives

  • To provide leadership and direction for the center in accordance with the mission, goals and objectives established by the Board of Directors.
  • To develop, implement and evaluate programs and services that meet the needs of the community served by the center.
  • To develop and maintain effective relationships with funding sources, government agencies, other social service providers and the community at large.
  • To ensure that the center’s operations are conducted in a fiscal responsible manner within budget guidelines established by the Board of Directors.
  • To hire, train and supervise staff to carry out the programs and services of the center in an efficient and professional manner.
  • To serve as a liaison between the Board of Directors and staff; keeping both informed of developments affecting program operation or implementation, significant problems or opportunities facing the agency, etc.
