An audio technician is responsible for the set-up, operation and strike of all audio equipment for events. This includes but is not limited to microphones, soundboards, mixers, amplifiers and speakers. The audio technician works closely with the event coordinator and other staff to ensure that all audio needs are met. They must be able to troubleshoot any problems that may arise and have a working knowledge of all audio equipment. The audio technician must be able to lift heavy equipment and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
