Account Executive Job Description Template

The Account Executive is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key clients, as well as identifying new business opportunities. They work closely with other members of the account team to ensure that client needs are being met and that projects are running smoothly. The Account Executive is also responsible for preparing proposals and presentations, and participating in sales meetings.

Account Executive Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for meeting assigned sales quotas.
  • Develop and execute account plans to grow revenue and market share within assigned accounts.
  • Develop relationships with key decision makers at assigned accounts.
  • Understand customer's business needs and develop solutions that address those needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, managing all aspects of the customer relationship.
  • Coordinate resources (internal and external) to ensure timely delivery of solutions to meet customer expectations.
  • Manage contract renewals and upsell/crosssell opportunities within assigned accounts
