The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Maintenance Manager in all aspects of facility maintenance. This includes but is not limited to: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs. The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of these trades and be able to work independently with little supervision.

Maintenance Assistant Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the Maintenance Manager in all aspects of building maintenance and repairs.
  • Perform general upkeep and janitorial tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and emptying trash cans.
  • Clean common areas, such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and kitchens.
  • Inspect buildings for safety hazards and potential repair needs.
  • Report any necessary repairs or maintenance issues to the Maintenance Manager immediately.
  • Help to set up and take down event equipment and furniture as needed.
  • Perform minor repairs around the property as needed, such as fixing leaks, changing light bulbs, repairing holes in walls, etc.
