The landscape foreman is responsible for the overall supervision of the landscaping crew. He or she will ensure that all crew members are properly trained and equipped to carry out their assigned tasks. The landscape foreman will also be responsible for creating work schedules and assigning tasks to crew members. In addition, the landscape foreman will be responsible for inspecting completed work and resolving any issues that may arise.

Landscape Foreman Job Skills & Qualifications Needed

  • A landscape foreman should have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some college coursework in horticulture, agriculture, or related field is preferred but not required.
  • 2-3 years of experience working in the landscaping industry is preferred.
  • The ability to lift 50 lbs. and work outdoors in various weather conditions is required.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills are essential.
