A Floor Tech is responsible for cleaning and maintaining all flooring in a commercial or residential setting. This may include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing all types of flooring surfaces. A Floor Tech must be able to work quickly and efficiently while paying close attention to detail. They must also have good customer service skills as they will often be working around people.

Floor Tech Job Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the cleanliness of all floor surfaces in the building.
  • Stripping, waxing, and polishing all hard surface floors.
  • Carpet cleaning and shampooing as needed.
  • Responding to spills and other messes in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring the condition of flooring throughout the building and taking action to prevent or repair damage as necessary.
  • Keeping accurate records of all maintenance activities including dates, times, locations, and type of work performed
