EDI Analyst Job Description Template
The EDI Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, testing and implementing Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) solutions to support business requirements. The EDI Analyst will collaborate with business analysts, developers and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements. He/She will also be responsible for configuring EDI software to meet those requirements, testing EDI transactions before implementation and providing support during the production phase.
EDI Analyst Job Responsibilities
- Maintain and administer EDI systems and software
- Monitor EDI transactions for errors and take corrective action as needed
- Coordinate with trading partners to resolve EDI issues in a timely manner
- Generate reports on EDI transaction activity
- Keep abreast of new developments in EDI technology and make recommendations for improvements to systems

- An EDI analyst should have a strong understanding of electronic data interchange systems and how they work. They should also be able to analyze data and identify trends. Strong communication and problemsolving skills are also important in this role.
