Carpet Installer Job Responsibilities
- Remove old carpet and dispose of it properly
- Inspect the floor for any damage and make repairs as necessary
- Measure the room(s) to be carpeted and calculate the amount of material needed
- Install new carpet, making sure it is stretched tight and free of wrinkles or bubbles
- Trim excess carpet from edges and around obstacles

- To liaise with clients to discuss their specific needs and requirements for their carpet installation project.
- To measure rooms or areas to be carpeted, in order to provide an accurate quote for the job.
- To cut and fit carpet according to specifications, using various hand and power tools.
- To trim excess carpet from edges and around obstacles, using sharp knives or shears.
- To seal seams between pieces of carpet using adhesive tape or glue, ensuring a seamless finish.
